Sandiway Lakes, controlled by Warrington Anglers Association, present an interesting challenge in the building of practical fishing platforms.
Although the terrain is nothing out of the ordinary, the water table in this part of Cheshire has been known to fluctuate. While the water level is high at the moment, these lakes can drop in level for considerable periods, leaving man-made pegs unusable. The advantage of the Barracaid System in such a situation is that the Barracaid system is essentially modular, so that pegs built by us can be extended if that becomes necessary, by adding another, lower, platform in front of the existing one, that becomes part of the existing structure.
In the pictures below, you can see Barracaid pegs shortly after construction at Sandiway. They include railed fishing pegs for disabled anglers.
